Girls on the Run of Northern Virginia (GOTR NOVA) is excited to bring Camp GOTR to our region for the very first time this summer! As we celebrate 25 years of inspiring girls across Northern Virginia, we’re proud to expand our impact with this fun and empowering new program. Camp GOTR blends the heart of our Girls on the Run experience with the creativity and energy of a traditional summer camp, offering a unique, confidence-building opportunity designed especially for rising 8 - 13-year-old girls.

What is Camp GOTR?

This one-week program uses an intentionally designed curriculum focused on the topic of friendships, an important component of youth development & social-emotional learning. Similar to the Girls on the Run curriculum, the Camp GOTR curriculum follows a format that provides consistency and structure for the girls’ experiences, and each daily lesson is offered concurrently with physical activity. Led by trained Girls on the Run coaches, Camp GOTR offers a safe, inclusive, and joyful space where girls can be themselves, try new things, and connect with peers.

This summer, GOTR NOVA will host Camp GOTR from June 23 - 27 at The St. James in Springfield. Whether your camper is a returning participant or brand new to the Girls on the Run experience, Camp GOTR is the perfect way to stay active, inspired, and connected during the summer break.

GOTR councils across the country have experienced the positive impact of Camp GOTR. As one Camp GOTR parent shared,
